Assigns one of the domain's unassigned SMS numbers to a shared or main-number inbox. The inbox can then text from it, and texts sent to it arrive in the inbox. An inbox can have any number of SMS numbers, or none.

Only a number whose SMS application is available can be assigned. A number already held by a user, a call queue or another inbox answers 409; unassign it on the phone numbers page first. Assigning a number the inbox already has succeeds and changes nothing. The inbox's numbers are listed in sms_numbers on GET /domains/{domain}/inboxes.

A 202 means the assignment is accepted; it is applied within a few seconds.

Requires Office Manager, Reseller, or Super User scope. Other callers get 403.
